IPL hair removal works by the light energy being absorbed by the melanin within the hair shaft, therefore destroying the hair follicle.
Please note this will only work on skin types l-lV, so unfortunately not on skin type V (typically afro Caribbean skin). Sun-tanned skin or fake tan is also a no no, therefore no fake tan or sun beds at least 6 weeks prior to treatment.
Is it not suitable for white/grey hair, as the hair contains no melanin.
Courses of 6 or 8 sessions are recommended, depending on area of body.
Suitable for both men and women.
Treating those fine lines and wrinkles we all hate, as well as improving pore size and overall skin tone. IPL systems can address the aspects of premature aging as they promote collagen and elastin fibres.
It is a popular non-invasive aesthetic procedure, with a short 'down time', so perfect for people with busy lifestyles.
Treatments usually take around 30 mins and a course of 6 sessions are usually recommended.
IPL can successfully remove lesions such as sun/liver spots, age spots and freckles. This helps create a youthful, flawless appearance.
The light is absorbed by the high level of melanin found in the lesion, and destroys the cells within.
Not suitable to treat Melasma or Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH).
1-3 sessions are needed, depending on type and size of lesion, can take typically from 10 - 30 mins per session.
IPL is common treatment for mild to moderate acne.
This works by the light emitted by the laser helps destroy the bacteria and calms the overactive sebaceous glands which cause acne.
Tanned or fake tanned skin is also not treatable, again no sun-beds or fake tan at least 6 weeks prior to treatment.
Course of 6 sessions are usually recommended. Top-up sessions available if necessary.
This is good treatment for vascular lesions such as facial and non-facial thread veins, Rosacea, Port Wine stains, Spider Naevi, Poikiloderma of Civatte and Campbell de Morgan spots.
Suitable for skin types l-lV, not V (Afro Caribbean skin).
Depending on size and type of lesion, 1 - 6 sessions may be required.
Patch tests are required so we can assess your skins reaction to the treatment.
A small area within or around the treatment area will be used to allow us to determine the skins response.
You will need to take note of any reaction, checking swelling and redness, any blistering or excessively hot skin.
First consultation is free.
Patch test £20, but redeemable against cost of treatment.
